Sundays are meant for slowing down. No alarm, no rush – just soft, unhurried moments that set the tone for the week ahead. My favourite way to begin is with a warm cup of coffee on the balcony, wrapped in a blanket, breathing in the crisp morning air. The quiet of those early hours has a gentle way of grounding me before the day unfolds.
I keep everything simple. Soft loungewear, warm socks, maybe a knit sweater. Nothing complicated, just comfortable pieces that make me feel at ease. I sit, sip slowly and let the morning light settle in.
As the day moves on, I usually make something easy and comforting for lunch – a grilled cheese sandwich with a bowl of tomato soup or any other easy favourite. It’s warm, nostalgic, and doesn’t require much effort, which is exactly what a slow Sunday should feel like.
Evenings are when everything slows down completely. I might light a few candles for a soft glow, pour myself a glass of wine and settle in front of the TV. More often than not, pizza and wine make the perfect cozy dinner combo. There’s something so simple yet satisfying about an easy meal and a good glass of wine to close out the weekend.
