I usually only drink white wine, but today I wanted to try something new: a glass of red – Doppio Passo Primitivo – with steak. Bold, dark, full of fruit – the wine paired perfectly with the meal. For me, it felt a bit heavier than what I’m used to, but that’s exactly what made it interesting. I wouldn’t reach for it every evening, but with steak, it showed it’s strengh. A Chardonnay-Fiano Evening Sometimes you don’t need a big menu. Today it was simply pizza and a glass of Chardonnay-Fiano from Apulia. The wine is soft, fruity, and uncomplicated – exactly the kind of bottle you can open without to much thought. It paired best with the simple things: Margherita – fresh and classic, it really lets the fruitiness of the wine shine.
